Troubleshooting Guide

When calling the helpdesk please make sure you have checked the following:

Light Status on Zyxel Prestige 700 Series Routers

PWR
On and Green = Router receiving power
Off = No power received

SYS
On and Green = The router is functioning properly
On and Flashing Green = The router is rebooting
Off = The system is not ready or has malfunctioned
On and Red = Power to the router is too low

LAN 10/100M or 1/2/3/4
On and Green = The router has a succesful 10 Mb ethernet connection
On and Flashing Green = The router is sending/receiving data
On and Orange = The router has a succesful 100 Mb ethernet connection
On and Flashing Orange = The router is sending/receiving data
Off = Port not in use

CON/AUX
On and Green = The CON/AUX is set to CON and the CON/AUX port is connected to a management computer
On and Orange = The CON/AUX is set to AUX and the CON/AUX port has an internet connection through a dial-up modem
On and Flashing Orange = The CON/AUX is set to AUX and the CON/AUX port is sending or receiving data through a dail-up or ISDN modem
Off = The CON/AUX is not ready, not in use, or has failed

DSL
On and Green = The router has synchonised successfully (has carrier detect signal)
On and Flashing Green = The router is initializing the DSL connection
Off = The link is down

PPP/ACT
On and Flasing Green = The router is sending/receiving data
On and Flashing Orange = The router is initiating a PPP connection
Off =The system is ready, but is not sending/receiving data
